AUTHORIZATION FOR ITEM MASTER DATA

Hi Experts,

I want your suggestions on my below requirement which is given by one of my client.

Is it possible to give authorization to every user wise to access the their department wise Items from "ITEM MASTER DATA" .

For Example :

Chemical Department User can see only those items which are belongs to the chemical Department not the all items from "ITEM MASTER DATA".

Same condition applicable for other department also.

Is it possible in SAP B1 standard  functionality ?????
